THE COURT HAS CRITICISED NORWICH TRAFFIC CONTROL LTD, REPRESENTED BY BW LEGAL SERVICES LTD, FOR PURSUING AN UNLAWFUL CLAIM.
In a nutshell, Norwich Traffic Control Limited, represented by BW Legal Services Limited, issued our client with a parking charge notice for allegedly parking without a permit. Our client believed the parking operator had no authority to issue such a ticket since the vehicle was parked in an area not managed by Norwich Traffic Control Limited. Additionally, our client was not the driver or the owner of the vehicle at the time of the supposed infringement.
While the Claimant wasn't present in court, they were represented by an agent from BW Legal Services. The Defendant was there, represented by Mr. Jackson Yamba. After both sides presented their cases, the Court sided with Mr. Yamba, determining that the Claimant had wrongly issued the parking notice. The court criticised both the Claimant for pursuing an unlawful . Consequently, the claim was dismissed, and Norwich was ordered to pay our client £200 for costs.
The claim highlights significant concerns regarding how parking operators exploit the Court system to chase illegitimate parking fines. We are troubled by the number of individuals facing similar predicaments without any support.
